Google is developing a new data center campus in Botetourt County, Virginia, codenamed "Project Raspberry." The facility will be situated on a 343.6-acre property within the Greenfield Industrial Campus area in Daleville. The plans include the construction of three data center buildings, each approximately 300,000 sq ft, along with three substations and a 28,000 sq ft office building. The project also encompasses access roads, utilities, parking, and stormwater management systems. Google acquired 312 acres of the site in June 2025 for $14 million and has committed $4 million over five years to local community projects.
