Eneus Energy - Harlingen

UK-based Eneus Energy is developing a substantial 2GW data center campus in Harlingen, Texas, located on Gomez Rd & FM 509. The expansive project is slated to span 1,785 acres and will feature 16 data halls. Powering this facility will be a planned 765kV transmission line, designed with the capacity for additional generation. Eneus estimates the development could bring $14 billion in capital investment to Cameron County. The company, founded in 2013 with a focus on energy transition technologies, has entered the powered land business to meet the growing demand from the AI boom, offering pre-ready energy infrastructure for data center developers. The project is currently in its initial planning and evaluation phase, with no formal proposal yet submitted to local authorities. Eneus has secured up to 1GW of interconnection capacity for the proposed campus, initially referred to as the RGV data center.
