QTS Augusta Campus

The QTS Augusta Campus, located off Gordon Highway in Augusta, Georgia, is a significant data center development. Originally announced in 2022 by T5 Data Centers as a 140-acre campus with four buildings totaling 1.67 million square feet, the project has since evolved. In June 2024, QTS Data Centers, through Eagle South LLC and Cyber Development LLC, filed plans to expand the campus to six two-story buildings, encompassing over 2.15 million square feet. This expansion represents a substantial investment, estimated at $2 billion plus additional millions for computer systems. The facility is projected to create over 600 short-term construction jobs and 160-200 long-term operational jobs, with an average salary of $70,000. The campus is situated between the Hayne's Station and Captain's Corner subdivisions. Environmental considerations include potential impacts on water supply watersheds, wetlands, and floodplains, with an expected daily water consumption of 18,000 gallons and wastewater generation of 9,200 gallons. The project is anticipated for completion in the second quarter of 2026.
