YIDO is developing a significant 50MW data center in Incheon, South Korea, designed to support the artificial intelligence (AI) industry. This project marks YIDO's first large-scale real asset venture since establishing its AI infrastructure division, which integrates renewable energy and data centers. The 50MW capacity is substantial, comparable to the energy needs of approximately 100,000 households. YIDO plans to manage the entire development process, from site selection and financing to energy design, drawing on its operational experience. The company is actively securing additional investors for project financing and is in lease negotiations with major domestic corporations, aiming for immediate stable operations upon completion. A key differentiator for YIDO is its integration of its own energy business capabilities, including solar power and large-capacity battery energy storage (BESS), drawing from its 70MW Dangjin project. This approach aims to create a self-reliant energy platform, enhancing power supply stability and operational efficiency. YIDO is also exploring global expansion, particularly in Southeast Asia, in partnership with a Singapore-based data center company.
