TenPeaks Waikato

TenPeaks Waikato is an edge data center located at Gate 5, University of Waikato, Hillcrest Road, Hillcrest, Hamilton, New Zealand. In April 2024, Spark announced a NZ$15 million investment in digital infrastructure in Waikato, which includes taking over the management of the University of Waikato's on-campus data center. Spark is upgrading the facility to operate as a key edge data center for both Spark and its business customers. The University of Waikato will be an anchor customer. This initiative is part of Spark's broader strategy to invest in data center capacity across New Zealand, including a network of regional edge locations. The investment aims to improve access to cloud and connectivity services in the Waikato region, enhancing resilience and supporting the growing demand for data, cloud migration, and new technologies.
