Telia Latvia Raisteniškės

Telia Lietuva is constructing a new data center in Raisteniškės, near Vilnius, Lithuania, with an investment of €26 million. Scheduled for completion in 2027, this facility aims to bolster Lithuania's digital infrastructure and cater to the increasing demand driven by AI. The data center will be connected to two existing Telia data centers, forming a robust network for Lithuanian businesses. It is designed to securely and reliably store strategically important data within Lithuania.

The facility will be built in phases, with modules housing up to 200 server racks each. The initial phase will involve the assembly and connection of two modules, followed by two more. The site will eventually accommodate up to 800 server racks. Notably, this will be the first data center in the Baltic region to achieve BREEAM sustainability certification, powered entirely by renewable energy and incorporating waste heat recycling into a local district heating scheme.

Telia Lietuva, a prominent telco in Lithuania founded in 1991, will operate this as its third data center in the country. It will be linked to the other two via fiber-optic cable. Following its completion, Telia plans to sell the site and lease access from the buyer.
