YEXIO Dorfen

Yexio's data center in Dorfen, near Munich, is a sustainable digital infrastructure project developed by HOCHTIEF PPP Solutions and Palladio Partners, with operations to be managed by Yorizon, a green cloud services provider. Construction is set to begin on a 7,500 sqm site in the Dorfen Südwest industrial zone, with commissioning expected by mid-2027.

Designed for energy efficiency and environmental integration, the facility will launch with 2 MW of IT capacity, scalable to 4 MW. It will feature mass timber construction, reducing embodied carbon by an estimated 600 tons, and utilize water-based cooling for optimal energy performance. A standout feature is the integration of waste heat into the municipal heating network, aligning with Germany’s sector coupling goals and supporting local decarbonization efforts.

The Dorfen site is part of a broader plan to establish 15 decentralized Yexio data centers across Germany, targeting public institutions, SMEs, and software providers with high demands for data sovereignty and regional processing. The project reflects Palladio’s long-term strategy in sustainable infrastructure and is strongly supported by the City of Dorfen and Stadtwerke Dorfen.
